PUD Site Design

Many people may not realize the One University Place project has undergone major changes in the design over the past year as the developers work with the council toward approval of the Planned Unit Development (PUD).

Here is the site concept drawing of the current proposal:

Major changes to this proposal:
Both buildings shortened by 30 feet
  • Units reduced from 79 to 69
  • West entrance shifted to accommodate WEST ravine
  • Additional screening planting added to west side
Additional changes  proposed over the summer
  •  Changes to realigned Melrose/Sunset intersection leave 95+% of east ravine untouched
  • Median added to realigned intersection  will result in the following:
    • No traffic exiting the development can go down Sunset to Grand
    • Median will accommodate planting to screen view of font building
  • ·        Realigned intersection will result in 2 phase rather than 4 phase light:
o   Decreases wait time and back up at intersection
    o   Improves traffic flow
